Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Releasit is operated by Shop Circle Ltd, One Kingdom Street, Paddington Central, London W2 6BD, United Kingdom. This page explains how to report content that infringes your copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights, and how to respond if your content has been removed.
It covers content that merchants, affiliates and other users upload or publish through our services: images, logos and text in checkout forms; form and offer templates; shared configurations and coverage templates; and stores created through store.releas.it. Users are responsible for ensuring that what they upload does not infringe anyone else's rights.
1. Reporting infringing content
Send a written notice to support@releas.it, or by post to the address above marked "Legal – IP Complaints", containing:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a description of the work or mark you say is infringed, and evidence of your rights in it (for a trademark, the registration number and jurisdiction);
- the location of the infringing material, precise enough for us to find it (for example the store URL and the page or form where it appears);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them (for notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, this statement must be made under penalty of perjury);
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will act on complete notices without undue delay, normally by removing or disabling access to the material and informing the user who uploaded it. Incomplete notices may not be processed until the missing information is supplied.
2. If your content has been removed
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to support@releas.it containing:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a description of the removed material and where it appeared;
- a statement that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification (under penalty of perjury for DMCA counter-notices);
- for DMCA counter-notices, your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address or, if outside the United States, of any US district in which Shop Circle Ltd may be found, and your agreement to accept service of process from the complainant;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will forward your counter-notice to the complainant. Unless they tell us within ten to fourteen business days that they have started legal proceedings against you, we will restore the material.
3. Repeat infringers
We will terminate the account of any user who is the subject of three separate valid infringement notices. A notice that is withdrawn, or overturned by a counter-notice, does not count. We may also terminate accounts after fewer notices where the user has repeatedly or wilfully disregarded our Terms of Use.
4. False claims
Anyone who knowingly makes a materially false statement in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for the resulting damages, including under section 512(f) of the US Copyright Act. If you are unsure whether your rights have been infringed, take legal advice before filing.
5. Disclosure
We may share notices and counter-notices with the affected user and with the complainant, and may submit copies to the Lumen Database (lumendatabase.org) or a similar transparency archive, with personal contact details removed.
6. Other complaints
Complaints about trademarks, other intellectual property, or the misuse of your personal data by a user of our services go to the same address, support@releas.it. Our own handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
